Minutes, Shawnee Green Party, January 16th, 2019

Present: Charlie Howe, Randy Auxier, Joshua Hellmann, David Racine

1. Due to the small number of attendees, it was decided to stick to announcements.

2. Announcements: 

    a: The local women's march, hosted by Women United Network, is this Saturday (January 19th) at the Carbondale Civic Center, starting at 11AM with a civic booth fair, followed by the march proper around 1 PM.

    b: The Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration will be on Sunday, Jan. 20th at the Carbondale Civic Center at 4 PM

    c: The MLK Breakfast is on Monday, Jan 21st (MLK Day), at the SIUC Student Center Ballroom starting at 8 AM with breakfast, followed by speeches and etc starting around 9 AM.

    d: Our Fourth Tuesday Event takes place on January 22nd, at 6:30 PM at The Varsity in Carbondale, and will feature a presentation by Roberto Barrios. The general topic is Responding to Disaster.

    e: The American Institute of Philosophical and Cultural Thought, located in Murphysboro with Randy Auxier as one of its directors, holds regular events such as reading groups.
